Andrea Elson

Andrea Hope Elson (born in 1961) is an ex- American actress. Elson, who began the acting profession as a a young model/actress and then as an actress professionally, is best known for the role as Alice Tyler as seen on CBS's science-fiction drama series. Andrea auditioned and won the role of Lynn Tanner on the hit ALF ALF (1986). She worked many years for numerous popular television shows like Movies of the Day before making the decision to leave the industry and concentrate on her children. Andrea Elson was playing Lynn Tanner as the teenage daughter Kate and Willie - at a time that she was going through a rough time. People magazine released a retrospective of her career back in 2000. Elson commented that being a teenager in the spotlight was not an easy task. Elson, who was green eyed New York City native grew by traveling because of the advertising job her father held. She had already lived in New York as well as Chicago San Diego and Los Angeles before she turned ten. When she was in San Diego Andrea got an agent, and was able to get the part she auditioned for. Fusco was in favor of the idea saying, "ALF can drink beer because he is older than 285." ALF was becoming more and more popular among children, so NBC informed Fusco not to drink because kids were watching. Fusco is a bad image model. Fusco still believed ALF was an adult and could manage the drink. He was diagnosed in 1995 with lymphoma. It was successfully treated and his cancer was at a high level of remission through the end of 2019. The illness took his life on 26 June 2019, when he had been 75 years old at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
