Ky-ManiKy-mani Marley who is working towards the completion of his third album that is untitled is definitely a star. On the 26th of February in 1976 Ky-mani was born to the legendary Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican table tennis player Anita Belnavis, in Falmouth, Jamaica. East African words for Ky-mani refer to a traveler who is adventurous. As an East African man, his recordings and journeys represent an adventure. The Journey was his first album of music. His wide-ranging perspective allowed him to search for his own niche, and to explore his diverse talents. As of 2001 Many More Roads (Grammy-nominated) was a "traditional" reggae album , was out, which revealed a more mature Ky-mani. The Journey and Many More Roads were well received worldwide, thus solidifying Ky-mani's position as an independent "artist". Ky-Mani mixes roots reggae with hip-hop, R&B, and contemporary jazz to make his own sound.
